After successfully managing and owning an insurance agency for 40 years, Em Walters knows what service should be.  During her tenure as an insurance professional, she earned the Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1984, was awarded the American Association of Managing General Agents Achievement Award in 1995, and received the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi (IIAM) President’s Award in 2001.  Serving on both state and local IIAM Boards for the past 10 years, she led a variety of committees and served on the IIAM State Executive Committee.  
  Being involved in the community and making a difference locally is vital to Em.  In addition to industry-related committees, she has been active in local civic groups, such as Aberdeen Main Street, Aberdeen Rotary Club, the McFarland Fund, and the City of Aberdeen Economic Council.  Ms. Walters is Past President of the Magnolia Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and Past President of the Blue Bluff Festival Committee.  Having recently retired from the insurance industry, Em is now greatly looking forward to applying her business experience and leadership to the real estate arena and intends to work hard to ensure her clients get the attention and expertise they deserve.
