  She was selected "Woman of the Year" in 2000 by the Aberdeen chapter of the American Businesswomen Association's Aberdeen Chapter Woman of the Year" in 2000, and is a past president.She is a former member and vice president of "Today's Women MFWC,GFWC.

  Marsha was named one of Mississippi's 50 Leading Business Women for 2003 by the Mississippi Business Journal. She is a former Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 6800,  past president of the Aberdeen Rotary Club, and the first female Paul Harris Fellow. She served 6 years on the board of directors of the Aberdeen-South Monroe Chamber of Commerce and is in her 8th year as a member of the board of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, having served 3 years on the Executive Board. Marsha is Vice president of the Board of Directors of Safe Haven,Inc., a domestic violence, rape, and child abuse shelter serving 13 counties.Board member since 1994, graduate of "Leadership Monroe" 1989.
